A rare (isolated) occurrence of short-term showers and thunderstorms is expected only during the weekend in the hilly and mountainous regions of southwestern and southeastern Serbia.
A change in weather and a drop in temperature are expected from July 9.
RHMZ warns of the intensification of the flood wave
The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute warned that in the first decade of July in the territory of Serbia, the heat wave is expected to intensify with maximum temperatures in most places from 34 to 38 degrees.

"According to current analyses, severe and extreme drought prevails on the territory of Serbia. The deficit of precipitation during June and high temperatures led to a significant decrease in soil moisture, which is already endangering crops such as corn, soybeans, sugar beet and other crops without irrigation. According to the forecast of the SPI index, a continuation of dry and very warm weather is expected in the coming period, which will further reduce the moisture in the surface and deeper layers of the soil. As field crops enter a critical phase of development, the drought could significantly reduce the yield", it is stated on the RHMZ website.
