The PSOE's long-running Federal Committee has experienced one of its most tense moments in the clash between the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, and the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente. The leader of the La Mancha socialists has demanded that Pedro Sánchez call elections or raise a vote of confidence to end the worst cases of corruption in democracy.

The minister and secretary general of the Valladolid Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) responded harshly. He reminded Page of some scandals from Felipe González's term, including the case of the former director general of the Civil Guard, Luis Roldán, and the GAL case, when, as he recalled, a former prime minister like González accompanied his former minister, José Barrionuevo, and his deputy, Rafael Vera, to prison in 1998.
