Iran reported that smoke was rising in the Levizan area of the capital Tehran as a result of an Israeli attack. Last Sunday, the Iran International website reported, citing two sources familiar with the matter in Iran, that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei,"was moved to an underground bunker in Levizan, northeast of Tehran, hours after Israel began its attacks on Tehran on Friday morning." According to the report, all of Khamenei's family members, including his son Mojtaba, are with him.
Iran later reported that air defense systems had been activated in the west of the capital, Tehran.

"We in Hezbollah stand by Iran and will act as we see fit in the face of this brutal Israeli-American aggression. Our unity is the way to thwart the hegemonic projects and contribute to thwarting the goals of aggression. The United States and Israel will not be able to subdue the Iranian people and the IRGC. The revolution".
The Iranian missile strike on the hospital in Beersheba received extensive coverage around the world, even if mostly correct. The British media quoted Netanyahu's promise to"collect a full price from Tehran", Italian newspapers:"One of the heaviest attacks". The Spanish Al-Fays:"This is one of the main hospitals, Iran is threatening to expand the war to the entire region".

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is expected to arrive in Geneva, Switzerland, tomorrow, where he will meet with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Britain and the European Union. From there, he is expected to travel to Turkey to participate in a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, on Saturday and Sunday.
The Qatari"Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed" reported, citing Iranian sources, that"the United States has recently repeatedly sent messages to Tehran requesting that it monitor the negotiations with a third party." Iran's neighbors welcome the return to diplomacy and have announced their willingness to host Iranian-American negotiations. Iran's neighbors and the countries in the region are striving to restore calm and stability.
"Araqchi's talks tomorrow in Geneva reflect Europe's determination to regain its grip on the nuclear negotiations." The sources also said: "A neighboring country is seeking to hold a round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington on its territory soon."
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt told reporters at a briefing that"I have a direct message from the president, and I quote: 'Based on the fact that there is a significant chance that negotiations may take place with Iran in the near future - or not - I will make a decision on whether to join in the next two weeks.' That's a direct quote from the president for all of you today."

She was asked what a possible agreement with Iran should include, and replied:"Zero enrichment of uranium. The proposal that Witkoff presented to the Iranians was both realistic and acceptable within its terms." She was also asked about the American intelligence that contradicted the Israeli claim that Iran was close to obtaining nuclear weapons, and she replied:"It is a fact, and the American administration insists on it - that Iran has never been closer to obtaining nuclear weapons."
According to her,"The IDF and Israel exceeded the expectations of many in their ability to truly disrupt Iran's nuclear facilities, and also eliminated key figures in the regime's leadership. This is of course an issue that we are following daily. The president was now in an intelligence briefing. He continues to receive updates from the National Security Council, and he will continue to do so throughout the war and the conflict. He is in constant contact with our Israeli colleagues - first and foremost with Prime Minister Netanyahu."
"Iran is in a weak and very vulnerable position due to the attacks and assaults from Israel," she continued."And as for the president's statement - he was very clear - Iran can and should sign an agreement. We sent them an agreement that was practical, realistic - or they will face Serious consequences. Also, the Europeans are meeting with the Iranians tomorrow, so we'll see how that meeting goes." Even six days after the outbreak of war between Iran and Israel, the question marks outweigh the exclamation marks. It is worth remembering that Israel has not faced a campaign against a sovereign state – and even less so against a regional power, even if weakened – in decades. On the other hand, Iran has not faced such a complex reality since the Iran-Iraq war. The meaning is clear: it is difficult to predict how things will develop and what the long-term consequences of the campaign will be on decision-making in Tehran. What can already be determined is that the assessments that were valid until about a week ago are not necessarily relevant today. Therefore, all the basic assumptions that seemed reasonable until the outbreak of the conflict must be reexamined.

A satellite image analysis conducted by the Bloomberg news agency shows that Iran has been working feverishly in recent days to remove its oil reserves from its territory. This, according to the report, is so that Tehran can continue to reap profits from the precious resource while Israel operates throughout the Islamic Republic - and in the shadow of fears that the US will join the extensive strike operation. According to the report, Iran is removing the oil from ports to tankers at sea. However, it was reported that Kharj Island - the world's largest oil terminal located near and owned by the country - is still full of oil.

The Iranian delegation to the UN has rejected Israel's "false accusations regarding the attack on Soroka Hospital." According to the Iranians,"Our self-defense measures are precise and in line with international law. We only target facilities involved in attacks against us. Iran acts according to international law and does not target civilians or civilian infrastructure."
The Supreme National Security Council in Tehran said earlier that "Iran will continue to respond in a similar manner to Israeli attacks. To any Israeli attack that is carried out in a different manner, Iran will also respond in a different manner. If any third party intervenes in the Israeli attacks against Iran, it will receive an immediate response without any hesitation." The Iranians also claimed that there were no casualties in the Israeli attack on the Arak nuclear reactor this morning.

Yehuda Cohen, the father of kidnapped soldier Nimrod Cohen, attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu for the words he said from the scene of the attack in Soroka, according to which his family and he are paying heavy personal prices as a result of the war."After I finished shedding crocodile tears over the tragedy of the Netanyahu family, I gathered my thoughts and came to the amazing conclusion that in fact Avraham (Avner) Netanyahu can get married in a shelter under the Rabbinate building," said Yehuda.
"But my son Nimrod Cohen, an armored soldier who was kidnapped on October 7 from the broken tank provided to him And to his team, not only can he not get married - he can't breathe, he can't see daylight and has been in danger of death for more than 20 months. And all this because of the happy groom's father, Benjamin 'I don't remember' Netanyahu, who to this day is still afraid of flip-flops and is not willing to end the war in Gaza to free my son, because he - Netanyahu - is afraid of the convicted terrorist Ben Gvir and the arsonist Smotrich. Netanyahu, stop whining, stop being afraid, and end the war in Gaza for the sake of freeing the sons of Nimrod the Soldier. Or resign".

In Bnei Brak, 550 people are considered homeless due to the attacks on the city, while 368 residents of Rehovot also fell into this category.

Russia is calling on Israel to immediately stop airstrikes on the nuclear power plant in Bushehr in southwestern Iran, where Russian experts work. This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed last night that"we have workers at the nuclear reactor in Bushehr in Iran, and we agreed with Israel that their safety will be guaranteed." Bushehr, the only operating nuclear power plant in Iran, uses Russian fuel that Moscow takes back after it is depleted - in order to reduce the risk of nuclear proliferation.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued the call - and also repeated the Russian warning to the US not to intervene militarily in a war between Israel and Iran."This will have negative and unpredictable consequences," she said.

Education Minister Yoav Kish announced the postponement of the matriculation exams scheduled for next week, the extra week. He presented three possible scenarios: holding the exams after the postponement, as long as the security situation allows; postponing them to early September, when six concentrated exam days will be held; and converting the protective scores to final matriculation scores - and canceling the external exams.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Education will ask schools to transfer the protective scores of the remaining and postponed matriculation exams now, as part of preparations for a situation in which it will be decided to convert the matriculation exams to protective scores.

Following the severe damage to Soroka Hospital, which led to the paralysis of the only super medical center in the south of the country, the Ministry of Health instructed hospital administrators to work to minimize the number of patients.
Among other things, they were instructed to prepare to discharge mothers within 12 hours after giving birth - instead of the current 36 hours for a normal birth and 48 hours for a cesarean section. This is according to a letter sent by the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sefi Mendelovich, to the directors of hospitals and health funds, which was obtained by Ynet.

We see that he should not be on the agenda." The defense minister added: "We need to understand the meaning, he has been a sole leader for years. The overthrow of the ayatollahs' regime has not yet happened, but the West is already examining the claimants to the throne. The Shah's son, who has lived in exile for 46 years, is interested in the position, although it is doubtful whether anyone in Iran is interested in it. The protest movements are giving hope, but right now the young men and women are not filling the squares. The minorities are also waiting for the day the regime is overthrown. And of course, there is the possibility that Khamenei will survive, and Israel will be forced to deal with With his son who is as radical as he is.

The attack was carried out against the component intended for the production of plutonium, thus preventing its ability to be used again for the production of nuclear weapons, it was reported. The Air Force also attacked a site used for the development of nuclear weapons in Natanz, where unique components and equipment used for the development of nuclear weapons are located, and projects are being developed there that enable the acceleration of the nuclear weapons program.

Iran agreed under the 2015 nuclear deal to redesign the facility to alleviate concerns that it could develop into a bomb. In 2019, Iran began operating the second cycle of the heavy water reactor, which at the time was not in violation of the 2015 agreement. Britain helped redesign the reactor at Arak at the same time to limit the amount of plutonium it could produce. (Photo: AP/Ohad Zwigenberg) Russian President Vladimir Putin has made his first statement on the war between Israel and Iran, nearly a week after a surprise attack in Operation Kalavi. The president, who maintains close relations with Iran, said he was in contact with US President Donald Trump and Israel about the situation. He said Russia had presented a framework for an arrangement to Iran, Israel and the US, but insisted:"We are not imposing anything on anyone."
He said,"Iranian society is united around its political leadership. The right thing would be to find ways for the fighting to stop and for there to be an agreement regarding Iran." Putin stressed that "it is important to maintain Israel's security as well as Iran's," revealing: "We have workers at the Bushehr nuclear reactor, and we have agreed with Israel that their security will be guaranteed."
The Russian president also said that his country and the Islamic Republic "can continue to work with nuclear energy," and that "the decision on the situation should be made first and foremost by Iran and Israel."
