

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong (PM Wong) met with United States (U.S.) president Donald Trump on Oct. 29, 2025.
The two leaders, who were both at the Asean summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Oct. 26, attended a dinner hosted by South Korea president Lee Jae Myung in Gyeongju, ahead of the APEC summit.
They were joined by heads of government from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In a Facebook post on Oct. 29, PM Wong shared that he also presented Trump with a customised RSAF bomber jacket, similar to the ones worn by Singapore pilots training in the U.S.
Conveyed"deep appreciation" for America's long-standing support for SAF's training
PM Wong said that the leaders engaged in a "wide-ranging" and "engaging" conversation on global developments, including shared challenges and opportunities ahead.
"Always valuable to exchange perspectives with friends and partners from around the world," PM Wong added.
He also reaffirmed the security partnership between Singapore and the United States, noting that he conveyed Singapore's"deep appreciation" for America's support of the Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) training in the U.S.
As a gesture of their partnership, he also presented Trump with a customised RSAF bomber jacket, similar to those worn by Singaporean pilots training in the U.S.
