Câmara de Notícias Agency - The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), praised the decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, to suspend the increase in the Tax on Financial Transactions (IOF).

“Minister Alexandre de Moraes’ decision prevents an increase in the IOF, in line with the wishes of the majority of the Chamber of Deputies and society. We remain open to institutional dialogue, with respect and serenity, always seeking to balance public accounts and sustainable economic growth,” said Motta on his social media.

Alexandre de Moraes suspended this Friday (4) the effects of all decrees dealing with the IOF and ordered a conciliation hearing between the government and Congress on the subject.
