Following the summit of leaders of the Coalition of Goodwill countries in Paris, European leaders spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump.

Macron said the United States has made it very clear that it is ready to participate in Ukraine's security guarantees. The French president indicated that a final agreement on Washington's support for European security guarantees would be reached in the coming days.

The president also announced that if Moscow still refuses to stop the war, new sanctions will be imposed against Russia"in cooperation with the United States."

At the Paris summit, which was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the United States was represented by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who also met separately with Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president welcomed the commitment of European countries to participate in ensuring Ukraine's security."I think that today, for the first time in a long time, this is the first such serious concrete step," he added.
