Mexico City. President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted the peace agreement"that appears to have been reached" between Hamas and Israel.  “We hope that it really is a peace agreement,” he stressed.

He indicated that “Hamas has recognized the Gaza Strip and the Israeli government is negotiating, which was primarily led by the United States government.

“Let’s hope that it really is an agreement for peace and sovereignty of the peoples, that is our thinking at this moment,” he maintained.

When I told him that the Israeli ambassador to Mexico, Einat Kranz Neiger, downplayed the enormous number of civilian victims left by her country’s military occupation of Gaza, and also noted that there was no mistreatment of the members of the Global Sumud Flotilla, he stated that it is up to Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente.
