"The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, hit the refueling complex of the Sochi airport in the Krasnodar region," the statement said.

"A strong fire broke out in the territory of the facility. It is known that the aviation of the Russian invading army was also stationed at the airfield," the General Staff states.

The army continues to take all measures to undermine the enemy's military and economic potential and stop Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, the General Staff emphasized.

Russian media, local officials and services reported on Sunday that drones had attacked an oil base in Sochi overnight. A fire broke out and the Sochi airport was closed for several hours.
