President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Russia has launched “over 3,100 drones, 92 missiles, and around 1,360 glide bombs” across Ukraine over the past week.

In one of the major attacks on Friday, most Ukrainian cities – including Kyiv – were plunged into darkness with no water as 465 drones and 32 missiles pounded the cities, where two Kyiv Post correspondents reported a residential building hit in their neighborhood close to the center.

Zelensky, writing on X, noted the number of weapons used by Russia as the attacks escalated.

“Throughout this week, many regions of Ukraine have been under fire, and in many regions air raid sirens are now sounding again because of the threat of attack drones. Russia continues its aerial terror against our cities and communities, intensifying strikes on our energy infrastructure,” Zelensky wrote.

“In total, just this week alone, over 3,100 drones, 92 missiles, and around 1,360 glide bombs have been used against Ukraine,” he added.

He added that “a child was killed in a church by an aerial bomb” on Saturday in eastern Ukraine’s Kostiantynivka.

Zelensky then renewed his call for more pressure on Moscow’s oil sector to deprive the Kremlin of revenue used to fund the invasion.

“Sanctions, tariffs, and joint actions against the buyers of Russian oil – those who finance this war – must all remain on the table,” he wrote, referencing the recent peace deal in Gaza by accusing Moscow of “exploiting the fact that the world is focused on ensuring peace in the Middle East.”
