A drone hit a house

On Wednesday night, there was a serious violation of Polish airspace. More than a dozen drones were reportedly flown over Polish territory. According to the authorities, they were shot down."The debris of a Russian drone fell on a residential building in Wyryki Wola," said Deputy Inspector Andrzej Fijołek, spokesman for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Lublin, in an interview with polsatnews.pl. Fijołek emphasized that no one was hurt. The falling debris damaged not only the roof of the house, but also a car parked on the property."Something fell on the roof during the night, we don't know what it was. The authorities are securing the area. We have canceled all classes in schools and kindergartens," Bernard Błaszczuk, mayor of the Wyryki commune, told Wirtualna Polska."I am calling a crisis management team. I am going around and calming people down, but it's better for the children to stay home," he added.

The first drone

Police confirmed the discovery of a damaged drone in Czosnówka near Biała Podlaska and notified the appropriate services. Due to the violation of Polish airspace, a search for debris has been launched, and Territorial Defence Force (WOT) soldiers have been placed on alert. A shortened reporting period has been introduced for some voivodeships, meaning soldiers can be called in immediately. The Lublin Voivode is participating in the crisis headquarters in Lublin. The services urge the public not to approach any drone fragments and to immediately call the police by calling 112.
