Optimistic Outlook on Resolution

Today's Kremlin's proposal for a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the Russian Federation in Moscow is unrealistic and is actually aimed at prolonging the war. This was reported by Dmytro Lytvyn, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Communications, in a comment to UNIAN.

"A typical Putin maneuver - in order not to do something realistic that depends on him, for example, stopping the killings - he suggests something unrealistic, for example, coming to Moscow to see him," the advisor to the head of state noted.

As Lytvyn emphasized, now Putin is"simply dragging out the war and proving once again that pressure is needed to force him to real diplomacy and peace."

Zelenskyy's advisor noted that currently at least 7 states are ready to provide a venue for the leaders' meeting.

"The only problem is that Putin himself doesn't want this. For now," Lytvyn emphasized.

Updated at 19:15. At the same time, Putin's statement about his readiness to meet with Zelensky in Moscow was commented on by network X Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga.

He confirmed that at least seven countries are currently ready to provide a platform for a meeting between Zelensky and Putin to end the war. In particular, these are Austria, the Vatican, Switzerland, Turkey, and three Gulf countries.

"These are serious proposals - and President Zelensky is ready for such a meeting at any time. However, Putin continues to fool everyone by putting forward proposals that are unacceptable in advance," Sibiga emphasized.

The Foreign Minister is convinced that ultimately only increased pressure can force Russia to take the peace process seriously.

Putin's statement in Beijing

As UNIAN reported, today, September 3, during a visit to China, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could take place if the Ukrainian leader comes to him in Moscow.

This is not the first time Russia has voiced such a proposal. In August, Zelensky already reacted negatively to a similar idea. At that time, he stated that A meeting is possible, but"definitely not in Moscow".
