President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reiterated their complete rejection of the siege and starvation policies being imposed on the Palestinian people, which aim to displace Palestinians from their homeland.
The two presidents stressed the need to end the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, and emphasized that the only way to achieve lasting stability in the region is through the implementation of the two-state solution, with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
This came during a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the meeting witnessed a joint affirmation of the growing momentum in relations between Egypt and Turkey, and the ongoing coordination between the two countries at the bilateral and regional levels, as well as in international forums.
