Medvedev: About 30,000 illegal sanctions have been imposed on Russia

The Deputy President of the Security Council of Russia and the President of the United Russia Party Dmitry Medvedev said today that about 30,000 illegal sanctions have been introduced against Russia.

"There are about 30,000 illegal, illegal sanctions against our country from various countries. That is, those decisions that were made not within the framework of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, but unilaterally or by several countries," Medvedev said at the meeting of the standing committee of the Movement "Forum of supporters of the fight against modern practices of neocolonialism - 'For the freedom of the people!'", reports RIA Novosti.

He noted that such a policy leads to an imbalance in the entire global trade system and that in order to suppress this behavior, it is necessary to strengthen the horizontal ties between the BRICS countries.

"Stories about the introduction of various customs and tariffs lead to tension in the global economy," Medvedev said, adding that the introduction of US tariffs on goods from the BRICS countries is"an addition to constant threats."
