- The incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace may have been a mistake - said Donald Trump when he spoke briefly with reporters on Thursday before boarding the Marine One helicopter.

The US president added that he was"not satisfied with the situation." "But I hope it will end soon," the American leader noted.

First, Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski responded to Trump's remarks, emphasizing that the drone incursions were not a mistake. On Friday, the head of government spoke in a similar tone.

"We would also like the drone attack on Poland to be a mistake. But it wasn't. We know that" - emphasized Donald Tusk on social media.

Drones over Poland. Over 20 unmanned aircraft.

As Presidential Minister Marcin Przydacz reported on Radio ZET, on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Polish airspace was crossed by 21 drones.

Due to the unprecedented attack the Operational Command of the Armed Forces decided to shoot down some of the unmanned aerial vehicles that posed a direct threat to the inhabitants of Poland.

On Wednesday morning, an alert was raised for police units from the Podlasie, Lublin, Subcarpathia, and Masovia garrisons. Territorial Defense Forces soldiers were also called in to search for drone debris.

At the same time, state institutions and services appealed to the public not to approach any unidentified objects that may be remnants of drones and to alert the relevant authorities.
