European leaders have begun arriving at the White House for crucial talks with US President Donald Trump. They are expected to urge him to support Ukraine and outline security guarantees the US would offer to help broker a ceasefire with Russia.
The"high-stakes" meetings are taking place amid concerns in Kiev and major European capitals that Trump has backed Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposals to end the war after their meeting in Alaska on Friday, and will require Ukraine to make major territorial concessions, the BNR reported.

European leaders are expected to focus on obtaining clear security guarantees from the United States that could support negotiations to end the war.

EC President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubbs, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte have already arrived at the White House.
The leaders are greeted upon arrival by Monica Crowley, White House Chief of Protocol.
