The terrorist group Hamas said on Sunday that it welcomes the “ideas” presented by the United States mediators to end the war in the Gaza Strip and expressed its willingness to sit down immediately to negotiate to finalize the proposal.
"We welcome the ideas presented by the American mediators to halt the aggression and affirm our readiness to immediately sit down at the negotiating table to conclude a comprehensive agreement," the Palestinian terrorist group explained.
Hamas listed the demands that this agreement must include, such as “a ceasefire, complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the entry of humanitarian aid, and the formation of a committee of independent Palestinians” that would govern the Strip.
They also demand that Israel publicly commit to any agreement reached"and not renounce it as happened with the August 18 proposal, which we accepted, but to which the enemy has yet to respond, continuing its massacres and ethnic cleansing."
"We continue our contacts with the mediators to develop these ideas until we reach a comprehensive agreement that meets the demands of our people," the group added.
This Sunday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump , issued a “final warning” to Hamas to accept an agreement to free the Israeli hostages from the Palestinian terrorist group.
“The Israelis have agreed to my terms. It is time for Hamas to agree as well. I have warned Hamas of the consequences of not agreeing. This is my final warning. There will be no other!” Trump said in a message posted on the social media platform Truth Social, owned by the billionaire US president himself.
“Everyone wants the hostages home. Everyone wants this war to end! The Israelis have accepted my conditions. It's time for Hamas to accept them too,” the president wrote.
Trump's post comes moments after news broke that US special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff last week sent a new proposal to Hamas to reach an agreement on the Gaza hostages and a ceasefire through an Israeli peace activist, according to an Axios exclusive.
Meanwhile, military operations continue in Gaza. On Saturday, the Israeli military confirmed it had bombed another high-rise building in the Palestinian enclave, claiming it was “used by Hamas.”
“Hamas terrorists installed intelligence equipment and established observation posts in the building to monitor the location of troops in the area,” a military statement said.
In the note, the Army claims that the terrorist group had also “ established underground infrastructure next to the building.”
This week, in the midst of a new campaign of airstrikes aimed at destroying the last remaining buildings before taking complete control of the city.
On Sunday, the IDF destroyed another residential tower."The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked a high-rise building used by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza City area," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement, referring to the Al-Roya Tower, which was used by the Palestinian extremists"to monitor the location of troops in the area."
Prior to the attack, measures were taken to mitigate harm to the civilian population, including advance warnings to the population, the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.

In parallel, the UN Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, Tom Fletcher, warned this Sunday that the new evacuation orders issued by Israel could worsen the food crisis and extend the famine already declared to the center and south of the enclave.
"Two weeks after the famine was declared in Gaza, displacement orders have been issued against Palestinians in the city amid a massive military offensive," Fletcher said in a statement.
The UN Under-Secretary-General stressed that there remains"a small window, until the end of September, to prevent famine from spreading to Deir al-Bala and Khan Yunis," although that window, he warned,"is closing rapidly."
"Death, destruction, hunger, and the displacement of Palestinian civilians are the result of decisions that violate international law and disregard the international community," he denounced.
