As Ukrinform reported, Donald Trump stated that in response to China's latest sharp restrictions on the export of rare earth materials and their production technologies, the United States will increase tariffs on goods from China by 100% starting November 1.

In turn, China called on the US authorities to stop threatening to increase tariffs and continue negotiations on a trade agreement.
