Israel announced that action has been taken to implement its new invasion plan and that the army has taken control of the surroundings of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, the details of the invasion plan began to become clear.

According to a statement from the Israeli army, approximately 50,000 Israeli reservists will receive call-up orders for the attack on Gaza City. The calls-up orders will be issued within the next few days.

According to the Times of Israel, the number of reservists called up is in addition to the tens of thousands currently serving in the reserve forces. If the Gaza City offensive continues, approximately 130,000 Israelis will serve in the reserve forces.

The orders were issued after Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the military's plans.

"GIDEON'S CHAMBER B"

Not all reserve troops are expected to participate in the invasion, as some will replace regular army units in other offensives.

The Gaza City offensive has been dubbed"Gideon's Chariots B" after an earlier offensive of the same name, in which the Israeli army occupied 75 percent of Palestinian territory.

1 MILLION PALESTINIANS TO BE DISPLACED

The occupation of Gaza City will lead to the displacement of approximately 1 million Palestinians to the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli officials said Palestinians have until October 7, 2025, to evacuate Gaza City, which coincides with the second anniversary of Hamas' Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel.

Israeli troops will then launch a ground operation against Gaza City and surround the area.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Effie Defrin announced the start of the first phase of the plan.

"Following the clash with Hamas, the first phase of the planned operation against Gaza City has begun. The Israeli army has taken control of the surrounding areas of Gaza City," Defrin said.
