Due to the repeated failure to comply with the precautionary measures previously imposed, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), determined this Monday, 4th, the house arrest of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) .

The previous precautionary measures, which included the use of an electronic ankle bracelet, in addition to home confinement from 7 pm to 6 am, on weekdays, and throughout the weekend, were now reaffirmed by Moraes.

The minister, however, added two items to the list of prohibitions: in addition to no longer being able to leave his home, Bolsonaro will not be able to receive visitors (with the exception of his lawyers), and he cannot use his cell phone, directly or through third parties, nor can he take photos or record images.

The decision that ordered house arrest this Monday is based on non-compliance with the precautionary measure that prohibits the use of social media, whether one's own or through third parties.

As Estadão showed this Sunday , 3, the former president spoke through a telephone contact with his son, senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), to pro-Bolsonaro protesters who took to the streets to protest against Moraes.
