Sources for the publication"Ukrainska Pravda" said that A. Yermak did not want to back down and spent half an hour emotionally rebuking V. Zelensky. According to them, the conversation was full of insults and accusations against the president.

On the same day, it was reported that Ukrainian anti-corruption and intelligence officers had searched Yermak's office and home, a probe that has further heightened tensions in the president's office.

Zelensky, who met with the heads of services in the administration, tried to find a solution so that the searches would not appear to international partners as a sign of chaos and would not weaken diplomatic processes. However, the president maintained that the interests of the state are above any individual figures.

Critical turning point

Ultimately, Zelensky's team concluded that Yermak should be dismissed from his position as head of the administration. This was the chosen path to control the scandal and show that the rules apply to everyone.

According to sources from Ukrainska Pravda, A. Yermak methodically sought to establish as many people close to him as possible in various state institutions. However, at the critical moment, none of them publicly stood up for him.

Sources claim that A. Yermak himself only made the decision easier for V. Zelensky by his behavior. When asked to write a request for forgiveness, he launched into a tirade lasting about half an hour with insults, accusations, and reproaches against the president.

“Yermak did not believe until the very last moment that the First [V. Zelensky] would remove him,” a source close to him explained the situation. According to the same source, what shocked A. Yermak most was that the president ultimately turned his back on him.

Presidential Transformation

This was not the first time for Zelensky to say goodbye to officials from his closest circle. However, for Yermak, the president's decision was his first real shock.

Most sources interviewed by Ukrainska Pravda claim that after this dismissal, Zelensky has returned to his previous ways. According to them, the president seems more focused and confident.

"Now he is energetic again, similar to the president of February 24, 2022, and we are all with him. The meetings on Saturday were great - crazy motivation and attitude," emphasized one member of V. Zelensky's team.

Zelensky will now have to choose a new head of administration, with possible candidates including Transport Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, Military Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov, and Deputy Head of the Military Affairs Bureau Pavlo Palisa. It is also not ruled out that First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia could head the presidential office.
