Alaskans are demonstrating in solidarity with Ukraine across the state ahead of today's meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, US media report.
At least 16 demonstrations are planned through Saturday, from Fairbanks to Kodiak to Ketchikan, according to the nonprofit news network States Newsroom."Our primary goal is to express our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, to let them know that we watched in horror as Ukraine was invaded more than three years ago," said Nicole Collins, an organizer with the Ketchikan Mayday for Democracy group, which is holding a vigil Thursday evening to show support for Ukraine.
