Several shots rang out in the Roma settlement of Mihovica near Šentjerneju on Tuesday evening, causing considerable unrest among residents. Eyewitnesses filmed the incident and published it on social media, and the footage quickly spread among Slovenians.
Police confirm:"Someone fired shots, we are taking the matter very seriously"
The Novo Mesto Police Department confirmed to Žurnal24 that they received several reports of shootings from citizens on Tuesday evening. According to them, the police responded immediately and investigated the circumstances.
"According to the reports collected so far, no one was injured and we have not received any information about any possible property damage. The investigation is still ongoing," they told us.
Due to the interest of the investigation, they are not disclosing any more detailed information at the moment.
