The battle was fierce and even for the first few minutes. Later, the duo of Rokas Jokubaitis and Jonas Valančiūnas came on and smashed the opponent's defense to pieces - the Lithuanians won the first half of the match 47:28. JV, who made three three-pointers, scored 19 points before the long break, while Rokas scored 16 points.
R. Jokubaitis recorded a double-double at the beginning of the third quarter – 16 points and 10 assists. In turn, J. Valančiūnas was rested. The intrigue in the third and fourth quarters was gone.
The Lithuanian men made as many as 35 assists and broke the championship record, which has been in place since 1995.
The stunned Montenegrins made 26 mistakes and made just 3 of 22 three-pointers (14 percent). However, they were superior in rebounding – 42 to 27.
The Lithuanians scored 17 steals and 9 three-pointers out of 22 attempts (41 percent).
The winners' top scorers were R. Jokubaitis with 21 (7/14 two-pointers, 2/2 three-pointers, 1/2 free throws, 12 assists) and J. Valančiūnas with 19 points (13 min., 5/5 two-pointers, 3/4 three-pointers, 5 rebounds).
Arnas Velička (5 assists) and Marekas Blaževičius (6 rebounds) added 10 points each, Tadas Sedekerskis (5 assists) and Laurynas Birutis - 7 each, Margiris Normantas 6, Rokas Giedraitis 5, Ignas Sargiūnas 4, Deividas Sirvydis (0/5 three-pointers) and Ąžuolas Tubelis 2 each, and Gytis Radzevičius 1 point.
Nikola Vucevic responded with 20, Djordje Jovanovic with 13, and Marko Simonovic with 10 points.
