With provincial hotel occupancy above 75% and an average stay of 4.5 nights, Misiones is experiencing an excellent start to the winter season, with strong activity in Iguazú, San Ignacio, El Soberbio, and Posadas. An even greater rebound is expected this week, with the start of the break in Buenos Aires.

With more than 78,000 visitors in the first half of July, Misiones is enjoying an excellent start to the winter vacation season, with high hotel occupancy rates and a significant influx of visitors to its main tourist attractions.

The average occupancy rate for tourist accommodations throughout the province exceeds 75%, with Puerto Iguazú standing out at 78%; followed by San Ignacio at 70%; El Soberbio at 67%; and Posadas at 65%, according to data released Monday by the provincial Ministry of Tourism.

Meanwhile, Iguazú National Park, with its iconic Iguazú Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, has received a total of 103,149 visitors so far this July.

Furthermore, there is a very good flow of visitors to provincial parks and Jesuit complexes, which experience increased activity during this period.

The report released by the Ministry adds that more than 255,000 overnight stays have already been recorded in the first two weeks of this month, with an average stay of 4.5 nights per visitor.

“Very good winter break period”

In this regard, the province's Minister of Tourism, José María Arrúa, stated on his X account:"With more than 78 thousand visitors in these first weeks, Misiones is experiencing a very good winter vacation period."

"We exceeded 255,000 overnight stays, with a varied schedule of events and popular festivals throughout the province, which add to our attractions," added Arrúa, highlighting the diversity of activities that complement Misiones' natural and cultural offerings.

These figures will continue to rise in the coming days, driven by the start of the school break this Monday in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires, two of the main tourist destinations for Misiones.
