The Romanian Government, through its two representatives, paid tribute, in Kiev, to the sacrifice of the Ukrainian military and expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Also, the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Mihai Jurca, discussed with Ukrainian officials the possibilities of bilateral collaboration in two areas: the development of military products adapted to modern warfare and Romania's involvement in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The development of specific capabilities of the Romanian defense industry, alongside the Ukrainian one, is a priority within the SAFE Program. The experience and knowledge of the Ukrainian side, coupled with the financing provided by Romania through the SAFE mechanism, are important elements for the realization of acquisitions that will develop joint production capacities on Romanian territory.
"The participation of Romanian industry and economy in the reconstruction of Ukraine is a priority that will bring benefits to both sides. By developing infrastructure that can strengthen security and streamline border transit and by participating in the reconstruction process of Romanian companies once Ukraine reaches a just peace, these are elements that the Government prioritizes and will develop as a result of discussions with Ukrainian partners," the Romanian Government said in a press release.
