Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told ABC that he has not ruled out the elimination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Netanyahu said targeting Khamenei would end the conflict, not make it worse. Asked about reports that Donald Trump would veto Israel’s plan to remove Khamenei amid fears of an escalation in the conflict, Netanyahu said: “It would not be an escalation, but an end to the conflict.” Asked directly whether there would be a targeted action against him, he said: “We are doing what we have to do.”
