The Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday the opening of the door to repentance and general amnesty for gang members who were not involved in murders, with the aim of permanently settling their legal and security status.

The ministry said in a statement:"Following the decision to halt the Israeli war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Interior and National Security confirms that it has begun taking the necessary measures regarding the security and social conditions in the Strip, with the aim of restoring security and stability and strengthening the cohesion of the national and social fabric."

The ministry explained that some criminal gangs exploited the state of chaos during the war and committed illegal acts aimed at undermining civil peace by attacking citizens' property and stealing humanitarian aid. Some of these gangs were joined by individuals who had no blood on their hands and did not participate in the killing or crimes against their own people.

She pointed out that, based on the values of justice and national responsibility, and out of concern for the unity of the internal ranks, the restoration of public order, the strengthening of the internal front, and the fortification of society, the Ministry of Interior and National Security announces the opening of the door to repentance and general amnesty for all those who joined these gangs and were not involved in committing murders, by surrendering themselves to the security services during a period of one week starting from the morning of (Monday, October 13, 2025), until the end of (Sunday, October 19, 2025); in order to settle their legal and security status and close their files permanently.



The Ministry of Interior and National Security warned anyone who refuses to surrender or persists in violating the law that the competent authorities will take firm action against them in accordance with the provisions of the law. Public security and citizens' rights will not be allowed to be violated under any circumstances.
