The Arab-Islamic summit kicked off on Monday in Doha gathering Arab and world leaders in response to last week’s unprecedented Israeli strike targeting Hamas leaders in Qatar.
The deadly attack -- carried out by one US ally on the territory of another -- sparked a wave of criticism, including a rebuke from President Donald Trump.
Leaders of Gulf countries are also expected to hold a separate summit.
The attendees are expected to discuss a draft resolution that resulted from a preparatory ministerial meeting on Sunday ahead of the summit.
The draft said that Israel’s attack in Doha last week and its other actions threaten efforts to normalize ties with Arab nations.
