Israeli source: Military operation could take 2–3 weeks

The Israeli military has launched a new wave of attacks against Iran and now Tehran's residents are being urged to evacuate.

In the last few hours, 45 people have been killed in the country, according to the regime.

According to sources, Iran is ready to negotiate – if Israel stops attacking.

The call from Israel's Prime Minister came on Monday afternoon.

He repeats the Israeli military's information that Israel has taken complete air dominance over Tehran.

“This is a change in the entire campaign,” he said during a visit to an air base in central Israel, according to the Times of Israel.

He says Israel is on the path to achieving its goals in Iran – to ward off the threat of nuclear facilities and ballistic missiles.

– We are taking action and we are on the path to victory, he says.

“Enemy Warfare”

A military source tells the Times of Israel's military correspondent that the country's air force has now launched a new wave of attacks against Tehran.

According to the Iranian government, 45 women and children have been killed in Israeli strikes in recent hours, while 75 have been injured.

A spokesperson for the Iranian regime has commented on Israel's calls to leave the city.

"Please do not pay attention to the text message saying that the cities are being evacuated. It is the enemy's psychological warfare," the spokesman said, according to the Iranian news site Tasnim.

At the same time, we respect if some people choose to leave the city, says the spokesperson.

Israel's military operation against Iran is expected to take between two and three weeks, an Israeli government source told the Times of Israel.

“There is a bank of military targets that we can handle fairly quickly,” says the official.

Sources: Iran wants to negotiate

Exactly how long it will take depends on how extensive the surgery is, according to the source.

– If they decide to expand it to government symbols, economic goals, all that kind of thing, it will take longer.

According to the source, the Iranian side has said that it will stop attacking Israel and that it is ready to return to negotiations – but that Israel must first cease its attacks. Sources also tell the WSJ that Iran wants to negotiate with the US and Israel through intermediaries.

The ship was originally scheduled to make a stop in Vietnam this week, but according to information provided to Reuters , it has been canceled.
