The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a law on the application of sanctions to ships and aircraft.

Legislative initiative №13020 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine"On Sanctions" regarding the application of sanctions to vessels and aircraft was supported by 291 people's deputies.
The bill provides for the imposition of sanctions on vessels and aircraft involved in Russia's shadow transportation of oil and petroleum products, weapons, and military personnel.
The document provides for amendments to the Law of Ukraine On Sanctions regarding the application of sanctions to vessels and aircraft whose activities pose real and potential threats to the national interests, national security, territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence are proposed to be tasked with identifying and establishing the facts of the use of such vessels.
It is proposed that the State Register of Sanctions also include information on all entities, vessels, and aircraft subject to sanctions.
As Ukrinform reported, the Council of the EU has introduced additional restrictive measures against nine individuals and six organizations involved in Russia's destabilizing actions abroad, including through information manipulation and interference.
