The United States continues to move its B-2 bombers. After the four deployed on the island of Diego Garcia, a military base in the Indian Ocean, two more took off from Whiteman, in Missouri, headed for the American military base on the island of Guam, a US territory in Micronesia, in the Western Pacific. These are vehicles whose role could become decisive if the war between Iran and Israel erupts to the point of involving the United States . And Washington seems to want to prepare for any eventuality.
Osint (Open Source Intelligence) researchers have released on X the flight data of the two star-spangled bombers that have the unique ability to carry the heaviest US bomb, the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, which according to experts is necessary to destroy the Iranian underground nuclear facility of Fordow. These are the now well-known bunker buster bombs capable of penetrating the ground tens of meters deep and thus striking at the heart of the most impenetrable uranium enrichment plant in the Islamic Republic.
The American movements, however, have been underway for days, confirming the US willingness to offer military support, for now defensive, to the Jewish state. The first was the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz which, instead of docking in Vietnam as scheduled, left the South China Sea to head towards the Middle East. Then over 30 aerial refuelers were sent to the region in addition to other F22, F35 and F16. Finally, the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford was also deployed, while the aforementioned four B-2 bombers headed for Diego Garcia.
If the enormous geographical distance from Iran could lead one to think of plans unrelated to the escalation between the Islamic Republic and the Jewish State, it is enough to check the technical characteristics of the aircraft to change one's mind. The B-2s can carry a load of up to 18 tons, with a range of up to 11 thousand kilometers.
