Head of the Office of the President (OP) Andriy Yermak explained how high the risk is that Ukraine could"freeze" this winter due to constant Russian shelling. In an interview RBC-Ukraine He emphasized that Russia has been trying to do this for four years, nothing new is happening.

"All these years, Russia has set itself the goal of leaving us without heat and light in the autumn-winter season. Nothing has changed. And President Trump (US President Donald Trump, - ed. ), and Energy Secretary Wright (Energy Secretary Chris Wright, - ed. .), with whom President Zelensky had a meeting (President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, - ed. .) and Prime Minister Svyrydenko (Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, - ed. .) together with leading US energy companies, and Treasury Secretary Bessent (US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, - ed.".) - everyone understands this. They are ready to help us get through this winter as much as possible," he noted.

According to him, the Americans were given a clear list of what we need. And the American partners are ready to help us with this, as are the European ones.

"As for risks, of course, they exist. While this war is ongoing, of course, there is an inevitable risk of further strikes. We will continue to do what we have been doing: to protect, restore, and develop. The president devotes a lot of time to this every day, the prime minister, the minister of energy, and other members of the government travel to the sites of shelling. They react instantly. And if the tasks set are not fulfilled, or are fulfilled, but poorly or untimely, strict personnel and organizational measures are immediately taken," Yermak explained.

In addition, he recalled that we received full confirmation of support for air defense, and primarily for Patriot systems.

"This support is multi-component, and I cannot disclose all the details. Of course, the most effective systems are the newest, but they are in very high demand. Relatively speaking, there is a long queue, but we are trying to be as close as possible to the issuance window. The most important thing here is that Trump gave the 'green light,' so the issues along this line are mostly technical," the head of the OP emphasized.

Air defense for Ukraine

As UNIAN reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that Ukraine will receive air defense systems every year Patriot, and a corresponding contract is already being prepared for this.

He emphasized that the necessary contacts regarding air defense have already been established with the American side.

It is important that it is difficult to obtain all the systems at once due to the queue from countries that have already signed contracts with the manufacturer. Therefore, today Ukraine is trying to swap places with some customers.
