WASHINGTON: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority has signed seven strategic agreements with leading US technology companies as part of efforts to accelerate the Kingdom’s digital transformation and expand its AI capabilities.
The deals were inked on the sidelines of the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Washington DC, which gathered senior officials, dignitaries, CEOs, and executives from major Saudi and American companies, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The signing ceremony was led by SDAIA President Abdullah Alghamdi, SPA added.
The agreements cover a broad spectrum of collaboration aimed at boosting data infrastructure, developing the national workforce, and advancing AI adoption across key sectors.
Under one partnership, Supermicro will work with SDAIA on server solutions, data center design, AI-focused events, training programmes, and e-learning initiatives designed to build local expertise.
Dell will cooperate with SDAIA to accelerate the uptake of AI technologies through enhanced infrastructure, knowledge transfer, and national capacity-building initiatives.
A separate agreement with Accenture will see the two sides exchange expertise to strengthen leadership capabilities in AI. The partnership includes developing data and AI infrastructure, supporting workforce transformation efforts, and raising public awareness on the importance of AI adoption.
Cisco’s collaboration will focus on accelerating digital transformation within the public sector, promoting AI initiatives, and developing scalable, AI-enabled data centre environments.
SDAIA’s framework agreement with Boomi will enhance innovation across the Kingdom’s AI ecosystem through the development of AI data centres powered by Boomi technology, alongside broader knowledge-exchange programmes.
SambaNova will support SDAIA through joint events, training camps, knowledge-sharing, and awareness campaigns to advance national capabilities in AI and data.
Meanwhile, GitLab will explore joint opportunities in skills development, innovation projects, commercial solutions, and expanding the global reach of Saudi-developed AI applications.
