Trump said his patience was running out and repeatedly called on Tehran to surrender unconditionally.

"I may do it, I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do," Trump told reporters at the White House when asked if he had decided whether the United States would launch air strikes on Iran.

"I can tell you that Iran is in big trouble and they want to start talking," Trump said.

He claimed that Iran itself had suggested sending officials to the White House to discuss Iran's nuclear program and possibly get an end to Israeli airstrikes. But Trump added that the offer came far too late."There's a big difference between now and a week ago, right? A big difference," the president stressed.

Asked what he meant when he called on Iran to unconditionally surrender on social media on Tuesday, the president said his patience had run out.

"It's very simple - unconditional surrender. That means I've had enough, right? I surrender, that's enough, we go and blow up all the nuclear material," Trump said.

Asked if it was too late to start negotiations, he replied:"Nothing is too late."
