Residents of Tehran are leaving the city in large numbers and moving towards the north of the country, reports the Iranian state news agency IRNA.
The agency states that extremely heavy traffic was recorded at all the main exits from the capital.
IRNA also released an aerial photo showing a large convoy of cars trying to leave Tehran.
The mass exodus followed new Israeli attacks on targets in Iran, including, according to available information, the buildings of several ministries.
Before that, Israeli forces targeted air defense systems, military bases and sites linked to Iran's nuclear program.
Explosions resounded again today in the center of Tehran, but also in other parts of the country.
