US President Donald Trump said Monday he would"substantially increase" tariffs on US imports of Indian goods due to India's purchase of Russian oil.
The announcement was made on the social network, Truth Social, and Trump accuses New Delhi of not only buying oil from Russia for consumption, but also for resale on the market,"making huge profits."
The US head of state did not specify the value of the new tariffs, which he announced last week would be 25%, after negotiations for an agreement failed.
"They [India] don't care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine," he said.
