The John F. Kennedy Center hosted the draw ceremony for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The draw for the World Cup, which took place today, December 5, 2025, resulted in the following:

Group 1: Mexico - South Korea - South Africa - Fourth Trailing Tournament from Europe (Denmark - Czech Republic - Republic of Ireland - North Macedonia).

Group Two: Canada - Switzerland - Qatar - First Trail of the European Play-offs (Italy - Wales - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland).

Group 3: Brazil - Morocco - Scotland - Haiti.

Group Four: America - Australia - Paraguay - Third path from the European play-offs (Türkiye - Slovakia - Kosovo - Romania).

Group Five: Germany - Ecuador - Ivory Coast - Curaçao.

Group Six: Netherlands - Japan - Tunisia - Second path of the European play-offs (Ukraine - Poland - Albania - Sweden).

Group Seven: Belgium - Iran - Egypt - New Zealand.

Group 8: Spain - Uruguay - Saudi Arabia - Cape Verde.

The ceremony took place at 7 pm Cairo time, led by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and US President Donald Trump.

The Egyptian national team will participate in the upcoming World Cup, for the fourth time in the history of the Pharaohs, under the leadership of coach Hossam Hassan.

42 teams have secured their qualification for the 2026 World Cup, while 6 places remain vacant. Four teams will qualify from the European play-offs, compared to two teams from the global play-offs, which will be held from March 23 to 31 in Mexico.
