The meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky in front of the journalists lasted a little less than half an hour.

To the last question of the journalist, whether Trump wanted anything else from the recent summit with Vladimir Putin, the American president answered:

"I just spoke with the president... I just spoke indirectly with President Putin and we will have a telephone conversation right after these meetings today. We may have a trilateral meeting - or maybe not. If there is not, the fighting will continue. If there is, I think we have a good chance, I think if there is a trilateral, there is a good chance that maybe the war will end. But he expects my call as soon as we finish this meeting," said Trump.

Trump welcomed Zelensky in the White House

President of the United States of America Donald Trump welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House before their bilateral meeting.

Zelensky arrived at the White House dressed more formally than in his usual military uniform, but not in a suit with a tie, reports CNN (CNN).

He gave the US President the letter that the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelensky sent to the US First Lady Melania Trump while sitting next to Trump in the Oval Office.

Zelensky thanked him for his personal efforts to stop the war in Ukraine.

All European leaders arrived at the White House

With the arrival of French President Emmanuel Macron around 12:45 PM ET, all European leaders arrived for today's scheduled meeting at the White House.

The leaders are not scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump until 2:15 p.m. ET. They are currently in the government residence. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is waiting.

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at the White House.

He is the last of the European and NATO leaders to arrive at the summit.

Macron did not attend the meeting at the Ukrainian embassy with the other leaders because he later flew to Washington.
