The protest in Belgrade was initially peaceful, but a commotion broke out late in the evening when demonstrators who had previously come from the direction of Zemun threw pyrotechnic devices in the direction of the SNS premises at the corner of Birčaninova and Kneza Miloša Streets and in the direction of the police cordon.
Supporters of SNS, who previously withdrew from the street, retaliated with pyrotechnics and that was the beginning of incidents at the protest in Belgrade.

"Informer" team attacked at protest in Novi Sad

Demonstrators in Niš tried to reach the entrance of the police building in Svetozara Marković Street. They threw eggs at the policemen. The police intervened and threw tear gas.

Police Minister Ivica Dacic announced after midnight that 38 people were arrested and 6 police officers were injured.
- You all saw, even on those opposition televisions in the live broadcast, that there was a brutal attack on the police. That the blockaders came with the intention of attacking the police officers and injuring them. They came masked and carried masks, sticks and stones, shields. They shot police officers with slingshots and marbles. They had bottles with frozen water or flammable liquid. They threw buckets of marbles to prevent the police from intervening. They set a hundred containers on fire all over the city. And in the live broadcast, they could see that they started the attack with pyrotechnics, where they even set fire to the trees located near Kneza Miloša Street, Dacic said.
The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Council of Europe reacted because of Valjevo
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe commented last night on the protests in Serbia, with special emphasis on the incidents in Valjevo on the night between Thursday and Friday.
- I am carefully following the events in Serbia, where there are still concerns about human rights. I strongly condemn the disproportionate use of force by the police in Valjevo last night and repeat my call to the authorities to avoid excessive force, stop arbitrary arrests and de-escalate the situation - wrote Oflaherty (Council of Europe) on the official account on the social network"X" about the protests that have been taking place in Serbia for days.
Yesterday one of the demonstrators made an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office and received three years and one month in prison for attacking the police at the protest in Belgrade on August 13. Last night, after identification another protester suspected of shooting at the police at the protest in Belgrade on August 13 was arrested.

During the day dozens of people were arrested in Belgrade and Novi Sad for attacking the police, disturbing public order and peace, and demolishing SNS premises in Novi Sad.
