United States President Donald Trump reportedly told his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting in Washington on Friday to accept Moscow's conditions for ending the war or be"destroyed" by Russia, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing sources, writes Baha.

The meeting between the two leaders was described as tense, with Trump"using continuous vulgar language." He reportedly "threw aside" maps of the front lines in Ukraine and demanded that Zelensky cede the Donbas region in the east of the country, later supporting the idea of ending the conflict along the current lines of control.

According to the report, Trump's stance was influenced by a phone call he had with Putin the day before his meeting with Zelensky."If [Putin] wants it, he will destroy you," Trump reportedly told the Ukrainian leader.

The White House and the Ukrainian Presidency did not comment on the information.

Previously, Trump had said that the United States"cannot jeopardize its national security by sending all the weapons to Ukraine" and suggested that Moscow and Kiev "should stop where they are now."
