"I stopped seven wars"
The Nobel Peace Prize is considered the most important political award on Earth. Donald Trump is known to have been keen to receive the prize, and several people have indicated that the US president has been nominated for the award, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but he has also been supported by the Azerbaijani president and the Pakistani government. Donald Trump has repeatedly stressed that he deserves the prize because, according to his own statement, he has already stopped seven wars by 2025.

The committee therefore had a difficult task, and they mentioned how much pressure they were under, but this did not influence their decision. At the same time, Norway is still worried because the US president may resort to raising tariffs or demanding greater participation in NATO, so the Norwegians have prepared for this possibility, as the decision was made on Monday, before the Gaza peace plan was approved.
