Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Major General Pavel Muraveiko, said that Poland and Lithuania had been informed about mutual drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine at night. The statement said that Warsaw had been informed about the lost drones. After receiving the warning, Poland scrambled its forces to respond.
This allowed the Polish side to quickly respond to the actions of the drones by raising its duty forces into the air, Muraveiko said.
In addition, Belarusian air defense forces destroyed some of the drones that deviated from their course over the country's territory due to the impact of electronic warfare systems.
Muraveiko noted that such exchange of information contributes to confidence-building and security measures in the region. Belarus will continue to implement its obligations in the framework of the exchange of information on the air situation with the Republic of Poland and the Baltic countries, the Chief of the General Staff assured.
