Ceasefire Violations and Continued Conflict

The Ukrainian president would now meet with US President Donald Trump. Zelensky told Sky News. Zelensky was in London yesterday and is traveling to The Hague. How and where exactly the meeting will take place is still unclear.

Trump will land in the Netherlands tonight at 7 p.m. and will then go to Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague for dinner with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima and the heads of government of other member states. Zelensky will also be present. It was uncertain for a long time whether the American president would even come to the NATO summit, especially after the US had bombed Iran. The White House finally confirmed his arrival yesterday.

NATO chief Mark Rutte had to pull out all the stops to get Ukraine on the agenda of the summit. Trump did not want it to be discussed on the official program. He is therefore not allowed to join a meeting between NATO government leaders tomorrow. But Ukraine will be discussed in the side events anyway. Rutte confirmed yesterday once again that support for Ukraine remains a top priority for the alliance.
