After The New York Times claimed that Donald Trump would have signed an executive order to authorize the Pentagon to attack drug cartels that his administration has considered terrorist organizations, President Claudia Sheinbaum affirmed that this is only in her territory and ruled out any risk that US military personnel will invade Mexican territory.
"No, no, the United States is not going to come to Mexico with the military. We cooperate, we collaborate, but there will be no invasion. That is ruled out, absolutely ruled out. There is no risk that they will invade our territory," he said.

-"Something reported that an order like this was coming, but it has nothing to do with Mexican territory, it has to do with your country, within the United States."
The federal leader indicated that they were previously informed of the signing of this executive order, but were assured that it had nothing to do with the participation of US military personnel in Mexican territory.
"We were informed that this executive order was coming and that it had nothing to do with the participation of any military or any institution in our territory. The US agencies that have a presence in Mexico are highly regulated. I believe we are the country with the most regulations for foreign agents, whether from the United States or another country.
No risk of invasion
When pressed on the subject, the federal leader indicated that there is cooperation and collaboration, but affirmed that there is no risk of any invasion by US military personnel into Mexican territory.
He noted that whenever the Donald Trump administration has raised the possibility of U.S. military involvement in Mexican territory, it has always been rejected.
"We'll see how the executive order is, but there's no risk that they'll invade our territory," he reiterated.
