U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed Tuesday, October 28, that the U.S. government, on the orders of President Donald Trump, carried out new bombing raids on Monday, October 27.
In total there were three lethal attacks against four vessels that were allegedly transporting drugs in the Pacific Ocean.
“The four vessels were known to our intelligence services, they were traveling on known drug trafficking routes and were transporting narcotics,” the official said through his X account.
In the first attack, according to his report, two vessels carrying eight criminals were destroyed, and all died. The second was against another vessel carrying four individuals, who also lost their lives.
Finally, in the last bombing, a boat was destroyed and three people were killed, while one of the criminals survived the bombing.
“A total of 14 narco-terrorists were killed during the three attacks, with one survivor. All attacks took place in international waters, and no U.S. forces were injured,” Hegseth said.

Regarding the survivor, the U.S. Secretary of War confirmed that search efforts have begun and the respective protocols have been implemented."The Mexican SAR authorities accepted the case and assumed responsibility for coordinating the rescue," he added.
In the post, which he accompanied with videos of how the bombings unfolded, the official asserted that the State Department had been dedicated to defending other countries, but things had changed completely under Trump's administration.
“Now, we defend ours,”he wrote.
"These narco-terrorists have killed more Americans than al-Qaeda, and they will receive the same treatment. We will track them, connect them to networks, and then hunt them down and eliminate them ," he added.
Despite the strong criticism he has received, which has even come from President Gustavo Petro, Donald Trump has maintained his position of having an offensive against drug trafficking to prevent drugs from reaching the streets of the North American nation.
In fact, he hasn't de-escalated his language; quite the opposite: he has warned that attacks will increase to address this problem. This is reflected in these last four bombings.
