The Kingdom of Morocco, whose King Mohammed VI chairs the Al-Quds Committee, welcomed US President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad stated that the Kingdom of Morocco"expresses its deep appreciation for the tireless efforts and personal engagement of His Excellency President Donald Trump, which contributed decisively to achieving this hopeful outcome. It also commends the tireless efforts of all mediators."

The statement added that the Kingdom of Morocco calls on all parties to fully implement this agreement, allowing for the preservation of lives, the release of hostages and prisoners, the rapid and adequate entry of humanitarian aid, the commencement of the reconstruction process, and the opening of prospects for a just, comprehensive, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.

He noted that"the Kingdom of Morocco, whose monarch, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, chairs the Al-Quds Committee, reaffirms its firm commitment to the two-state solution as the indispensable basis for achieving a just and lasting peace in the region, through the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital, and the Gaza Strip as a part of it, living side by side with the State of Israel, in peace and security."

The statement concluded that the Kingdom of Morocco affirms its full readiness to contribute effectively to all agreed-upon stages and paths, ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people and supporting stability in the Middle East.
