247 - US investigators found ammunition with transgender and anti-fascist inscriptions on the rifle allegedly used in the murder of Charlie Kirk, the Wall Street Journal reported. The 31-year-old conservative activist was shot dead on Wednesday (10) during an event at Utah Valley University.

According to the US publication, the.30-caliber hunting rifle was found wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the university. The older model rifle still had one fired round in the chamber and three unfired rounds in the magazine, all engraved with words.

Ongoing investigation

Justice Department officials emphasized that the investigation remains at a preliminary stage. The FBI detained two suspects, but both were released after initial questioning. The hunt for the shooter continues.

Charlie Kirk Profile

Founder and CEO of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, Kirk was considered one of the most influential voices on the American right. His organization operated on more than 3,500 college campuses, promoting conferences, debates, and political mobilizations.
