"A few hours ago, there was a strike on the Slavyansk TPP - a strike by Russian bombs. Unfortunately, two people died. My condolences. There are wounded. And this is exclusively terror. Normal people don't fight like this, and there should be an appropriate reaction from the world to such a Russian war," the president said.

According to him, energy workers have been working all day in Ukraine"from Zaporizhia and Mykolaiv regions to Frankivsk and Vinnytsia regions" after the massive Russian strike at night.

"Unfortunately, there were hits, and the target was energy. The blow was complex, combined, specially calculated, and it was difficult to counter," Zelenskyy noted.

Updated at 21:55. At the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported, that as a result of a Russian airstrike on the Slavyanska TPP, two power workers - Sergey Dyachenko and Mikhail Grigoriev - were killed. Five more plant workers were injured.

The department noted that the impact damaged equipment in the engineering and laboratory building.

Russia's massive nighttime strike on Ukraine

As UNIAN previously reported, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. In particular, the occupiers hit the energy infrastructure. In Zaporizhzhia, a dormitory was hit, 11 people were injured, including six children. In the Kyiv region, a 36-year-old woman was injured in Boryspil. In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that a number of trains were delayed as a result of the power outage caused by enemy shelling.

It became known that 7-year-old girl dies in hospital, who was injured during the Russian attack on Ladyzhyn in Vinnytsia region. She was taken to a medical facility in extremely serious condition. Doctors fought for the child's life, but, unfortunately, they could not save her.

The Air Force revealed details of the Russian night attack . According to their data, the air defense shot down or suppressed 623 enemy targets, and a total of 705 air attack vehicles were detected - 52 missiles and 653 UAVs of various types. Direct hits of 16 missiles and 63 strike UAVs were recorded at 20 locations and debris fell at 19 locations in various regions of Ukraine.
