A National Navy ship was attacked in recent hours with a drone loaded with explosives, while sailing along a river near the Santa Bárbara sector, in the rural area of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo.
The incident, which left no injuries, occurred on Saturday afternoon, when the vessel and other boats of the Military Forces were carrying out tasks within the framework of Operation 'Ayacucho', aimed at providing security to the inhabitants of that area in the south of the country.
The report of what happened reached the commands in the area, with a report detailing that the ship on which members of the Berlin company were on board was the target of a"suitable unmanned aircraft attack."

"In the development of the operational plan 'Ayacucho plus' and offensive operations order 022 'Ares', through joint military operations and mutual support with Navy units, the Berlin company was attacked with an A.E.I., apparently launched from a drone, impacting on deck number two of the Hichamon ship, without affecting personnel," says the official report.
This newspaper had access to videos of the vessel showing the explosive being detonated on the bow. The damage was to some of the military equipment, but no serious damage was reported.

Once the attack occurred, the Berlin company reacted by positioning itself to be on alert for another incident and proceeded to inspect what remained of the explosive device detonated from the air.
Specifically, a drone attack—according to the police—caused a helicopter to crash this week in the municipality of Amalfi, Antioquia, an attack that left 13 uniformed officers dead. The attack was attributed to alias Chejo, a member of the dissident group led by alias Calarcá.

Defense Minister Pedro Sánchez offered a reward of up to 2 billion pesos for anyone who provides information on the whereabouts of alias Chejo.
