Niger welcomed on Tuesday the adoption by the UN Security Council of resolution 2797 which enshrines, within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, the autonomy plan proposed by the Kingdom as a serious, credible and sustainable basis for reaching a solution to the question of the Moroccan Sahara.

This position was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, Bakary Yaou Sangaré, following his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the Conference on Victims of Terrorism in Africa, which is being held on December 2 and 3 in Rabat.
